JELSA · STARI GRAD · THE ISLAND OF HVAR
Where to stay

The island has a town for every temperament. Two sit close to Pitve, and we recommend them first. September is shoulder season, but the island books early - we would book by early next year.
Ten minutes from Ceremony & Town of Reception
Jelsa
A relaxed harbour town wrapped around a bay: morning swims, waterfront cafés, gelato after dinner. The closest town to the wedding, and the easiest week you can give yourself.
Fifteen minutes from Pitve
Stari Grad
One of Europe’s oldest towns, all stone lanes, harbourside restaurants and long unhurried dinners. A short drive from Pitve, with plenty to fill the days between events.
Vrisnik
Tucked away in the central hills of Hvar Island, the small village of Vrisnik offers a tranquil escape from the busier coastal towns. This space is close to the ceremony venue and secluded from the bustle of town centres, but is farther away from day-to-day essentials.
Hvar Town
The island’s famous corner: yachts, bars, and a fortress view worth the climb. We won't highly recommend staying here, as it is around forty minutes from the wedding venues. But, if the pull is too strong:
Cast a wider net
Hvar Away, a local villa specialist, lists beautiful stays across the whole island, and their local guides are the best reading on each town.
